Car washes are complex systems with unique structural, plumbing, and electrical requirements. The Car Wash Systems Design Department creates project-specific documentation to communicate critical design features to architects, engineering firms, and general and subcontractors to ensure that all systems are engineered with the equipment and installation requirements considered. The Car Wash Systems Design Engineer will leverage AutoCAD and the Sonny's templates to design site and equipment layouts and provide project teams with the information they need to be successful. The car wash industry is fast moving, and Sonny's equipment is constantly being developed and improved to better serve the needs of our customers. The Design Engineer will work with the various Sonny's product engineering departments to ensure that the CWSD Department's drawings accurately and completely communicate the requirements of each piece of equipment. Many of the Sonny's engineering departments work on specific components and sub-systems within the carwash installation. It is the responsibility of the CWSD Department and, specifically, the Design Engineer to combine these subsystems and pieces of equipment into a cohesive system that meets all customer specifications while integrating the various building systems and avoiding conflicts.   The Design Engineer will maintain up-to-date design details to ensure that Sonny’s delivers best-in-class drawing packages to our customers, in line with industry standards, so customer projects can be completed on time, to spec, and with minimal change orders related to the carwash design.
