The Shipping Lead should be highly detailed and work well under pressure to coordinate lots of changing factors. While their main priority is scheduling trucks efficiently, other Truck Dispatcher job duties include:

· Print Staging Documents & highlight picking items for loading team.

· Organize Staging Documents in work bins for picking associates

· Update shipping whiteboards with customer information: Customer name, state, sales order number, number of trucks, door numbers when available.

· Coordinate workflow for international shipments and communicate with International Logistics Coordinator on all scheduling, container drop-offs and pick-ups.

· Monitor and process sales order changes from Sales as they pertain to, but not limited to, picking, trucks, and shipping dates.

· Communicate Sales Order changes with trucking companies as they relate to delivery address changes, shipping date changes, number of trucks required for delivery, and coordinate shipping to storage.

· Notify Sales of order errors/discrepancies via email.

· Work closely with loaders and have them communicate missing items and inform management and production team

· Create all BOL’s

· QC all trucks for equipment as completed by loaders.

· Communicate to management all errors, capacity and shifting changes.

· Coordinate all pick-ups with trucking companies via email.

· Maintain inventory of empty trailers in lot and communicate when additional empty trailers are needed

a. Communication for trailers will be via email to trucking companies and Manager.

· Coordinate all truck moves as needed with trucking companies and update Truck Move Log.

a. Maintain consistent flow of available trailers in bay doors for loading

· Distribute End-of-Day Debrief to Manager and Logistics Analyst.

a. Missing Parts for orders scheduled for working week.

b. List of trucks pending to be completed.

c. Late Trucks

d. Carrier Issues

e. Potential Back Orders

· Follow warehouse safety guidelines.

· Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Experience & Education:

· 1-2 years warehouse experience required

· Forklift experience required

· Scan Gun experience required

· High School Diploma/GED required

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

· Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

· Will require heavy work (lifting greater than 30 pounds). Ability to carry 50 lbs. for 100 feet unassisted.

· Machinery operation requires the use of safety PPE equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted

· Regularly required to stand or sit, and move about the facility. Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.

Materials and Equipment Used: Will require proper coordination, and motor skills to work with power/hand tools as needed.

Tools: SAP Software, Label Machines, scales, and printers.
