The Operational Excellence (OpX) Engineer drives the Operational Excellence initiatives (programs & projects). The OpX Engineer assists in the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the production process with a focus on the Lean Principles. He/she aims to sustainably develop and implement World Class Operations capabilities and best practices in the factory together with the production team.

Job Level:
Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing programs for Operational Excellence, monitoring and reporting progress.
Develop, implement, and monitor project management processes for operational improvements.
Identify and prioritize key improvement opportunities, focusing on waste, inefficiencies, and process weaknesses across the Operations Value Chain.
Provide support for problem-solving and performance improvement projects at all levels of the organization.
Identify, train, and coach staff in Lean concepts and methodologies.
Oversee a team of Kaizen Technicians, guiding them in driving quick frontline improvements.
Coordinate and deliver training programs to build long-term organizational competencies in World Class Operations & Lean best practices.
Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement as a core organizational value to create a competitive advantage.
Support the development and maintenance of key process documentation, including SOPs, guidelines, and best practices.
Analyze OEE and downtime data, perform Pareto analysis, and define improvement projects to optimize performance and reduce costs.
Lean Manufacturing Expertise – Proficiency in Lean methodologies, such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work, to drive continuous improvement across operations.
Project Management – Strong skills in planning, managing, and executing multiple improvement projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and progress tracking.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking – Ability to analyze complex processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Coaching and Training – Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring staff at all levels, fostering skill development and adherence to Lean principles.
Data Analysis and Reporting – Expertise in analyzing operational data, such as OEE and downtime reports, and creating actionable insights through Pareto analysis and performance metrics.
Change Management – Ability to drive cultural and organizational change, ensuring the successful adoption of Continuous Improvement and Lean practices across teams.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Experience & Education:
Education Level- 4 Year / bachelor’s degree Engineering
Years Of Experience- 10 years of relevant Engineering project experience
Strong analytical skills
Root cause analysis
Ability to lead cross functional teams
TPS highly preferred
Six sigma green belt certification is a plus
Working knowledge of MRP (SAP a Plus) and Shop Floor Control systems (MES preferred)
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Majority will be an inside office environment.
Regularly required to stand or sit and move about the facility.
