The Manufacturing Engineer II will support and improve production processes by designing, analyzing, and implementing manufacturing systems, tooling, and workflows. This role will lead moderate-scale projects, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across departments to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Manufacturing Engineer II serves as an intermediate-level resource, demonstrating strong technical expertise while assuming ownership of more complex assignments and limited leadership responsibilities.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed.
Lead the development, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing methods, processes, and tools to support business objectives.
· Serve as a technical resource for production teams, providing troubleshooting support and implementing corrective actions for process or quality issues.
· Participate in new product development (NPD) activities, including process definition, tool/gauge development, work instruction creation, and cost estimating.
· Support capital equipment projects, including specification, vendor engagement, installation, and validation.
· Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives by applying tools such as 5S, standard work, and process mapping to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
· Conduct process capability studies, root cause analyses, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
· Recommend and implement improvements in line balancing, mixed model lines, workstation design, floor layouts, and ergonomics for safety and efficiency.
· Develop, implement, maintain, and improve current manufacturing processes, including equipment, documentation, training, gages, and tooling/fixtures, to optimize quality, productivity, and cost performance
· Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, and quality to ensure manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and compliance with requirements.
· Participate in the development of production metrics such as OEE and contribute to reporting and analysis.
· Train operators and support staff on new processes, tools, and equipment.
· Strive to continuously improve by attending professional development initiatives, networking events, and training seminars
· Maintain knowledge of current and emerging manufacturing technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
· Identification of cost savings opportunities, hard and soft savings.
Education and Formal Training:
· BS Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering required
· Project management experience required; certification (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
· 3-5 years of work experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment
· Experience with lean manufacturing, including standard work, workstation design, 5S & visual
management
· Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes
· Must have experience operating in a Quality Management System
· Demonstrated project management effectiveness in manufacturing environments
· Self-starting problem solver able to work under minimal supervision
· Must have strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
· History of progressive responsibility preferred
· SAP ERP System knowledge is a Strong Plus (BOMs / Routers)
· Knowledge and previous experience with Pragmatic Automation and 3D Printing
· Knowledge of Cobot, FANUC, Laser, pneumatics, vision systems, and PLC programming is preferred
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
· Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment.
· Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air.
· The use of safety PPE equipment, including but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hard hats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted
· Regularly required to stand or sit and move about the facility. Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.

The pay range for this role is USD $84,315.00/yr - $113,883.00/yr. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
