Overview

The Strategic Planning and Inventory analyst is responsible for the data management and administration of planning and materials tactical process execution aligned with organizational goals. This role involves conducting thorough analyses of inventory data, stock transfers, item master updates and implementing best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless inventory flow and timely availability of products.

Responsibilities

Production planning & monitoring:

· Create and review daily and weekly reports to monitor performance/health of production orders.

· Maintain and execute inventory transfer mgmt. between Sonny’s production and distribution facilities.

· Organize and maintain order mgmt. capabilities between and for organization sites.

Order and Demand Management:

· Collaborate with peers and functions such as purchasing, sales, and operations to manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels across our distribution organization to support customer needs and strategic objectives.

· Tactically creates, releases, prints, and monitors production orders as needed.

 

Master Data Management:

· Manages, reviews, and updates master data, checks that the updates yielded expected results in MRP runs.

· Aligns data management practices with industry norms and standards.

ERP system Expertise:

· Strong understanding of ERP systems and planning principles; seen as SME for ERP and eager to teach and actively solve problems collaboratively with counterparts in operations, purchasing, and customer service.

 

Process Development and Reporting:

· Develops and documents planning and inventory processes. Reviews daily and weekly reports to monitor performance/health of processes.

· Develops standards for the cycle count program, reviews discrepancies, and drives accuracy improvements.

Continuous Improvement:

· Utilizes industry best practices, and continuous improvement frameworks to drive incremental improvements throughout the planning and data management lifecycle.

Experience and Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, Data Management or other relevant field of study.

· 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or strategic planning role.

· Proven track record in demand forecasting, inventory analysis, process optimization, and master data management.

· Familiarity with lean inventory principles and methodologies.

· Strong Analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

· Experience in ERP implementation or ERP subject matter expertise preferred. SAP S4 and ECC.

· Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products

· Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

· Ability to multitask while maintain strong attention to detail and technicalities.

The pay range for this role is USD $84,315/yr. - $113,883/yr. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
