The Master Data Specialist ensures accurate, complete, and consistent master data for the organization. Reporting to the Master Data Manager, they maintain and update master data records, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, and analyze and identify data issues. They contribute to the development and implementation of data management best practices, support internal stakeholders, and continuously improve master data processes. The role will assist in data migration projects and implementing new data management tools and technologies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
· Timely processing of data extracts and data input into various software and database systems.
· Analyze and identify data issues, assist in implementing solutions, and perform data reconciliation activities.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality metrics and reporting to track data quality performance.
· Create data models and perform data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
· Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Formal Training:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration).
Experience:
· At least 5 years of experience in master data management or a related field, with demonstrated ability to maintain the functional data requirements in enterprise-wide projects.
· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
· Proven ability to analyze and identify data issues, implement solutions, and perform data reconciliation activities.
· Experience in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and workflows related to master data management.
· Experience in data migration with ability to transform datasets using SQL, excel, and other data migration tools .
· Knowledge of SAP/ERP data models and experience creating and maintaining data models is preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and implementation of data quality metrics and reporting to track data quality performance.
