The Jr. Quality Assurance Engineer will support the development and execution of test plans to ensure software quality and functionality. This position will collaborate cross-functionally to identify test requirements, isolate and report defects, and verify fixes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (equivalent work experience accepted).
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in Software (College experience accepted).
• Knowledge of QA practices.
• Work or school experience with SQL queries for reporting, data analysis and database testing using MySQL.
• Experience or understanding of operating within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience or understanding.
• Proficient with Black Box testing.
• Experience working with Jira or other TCMs.
• Experience or understanding of Linux and Linux command line. Or the ability to learn.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming practices and Model, View, Controller paradigm.
• Experience with programming languages and the ability to write/understand code (preferred languages but not required: PHP, Java, JavaScript, Python & Golang).
• Ability to learn how to debug and conduct merge reviews.
• Ability to learn to conduct root cause analysis.
• Experience or understanding of API testing using Postman.
• Prior Point-of-Sale (POS) experience from a support, QA and/or development side preferred but not required.
