Overview

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will act as the primary liaison between key carwash accounts and the company. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships while driving profitable sales growth across the national carwash sector. The SAM will utilize consultative selling, account management, and project coordination skills to deliver exceptional client service and support.

Responsibilities

· Provide exceptional administrative support to sales representatives and clients.

· Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.

· Maintain and grow Sonny’s wallet share

· Develop and maintain trusting, long-term relationships with key carwash accounts nationwide.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering loyalty.

· Proactively engage with clients to address their needs, concerns, and business objectives.

· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

· Drive profitable sales growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities within assigned accounts.

· Develop strategic account plans to meet revenue targets and expand business opportunities.

· Support and execute sales processes, including forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.

· Promote company solutions and services to clients while identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

· Manage projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timelines, costs, and client expectations are met.

· Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project management, service teams, marketing) to coordinate account activities and deliver client solutions.

· Follow through on commitments, track project milestones, and communicate progress to clients and leadership.

· Identify market trends, opportunities, and competitive challenges within the carwash industry.

· Provide market intelligence and client feedback to support strategic business decisions.

· Assist in developing proposals, presentations, and marketing campaigns aligned with client needs.

· Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

· Monitor sales targets, account performance, and client satisfaction metrics.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Formal Training:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.

• 2+ years of successful technical service, engineering or field sales support experience, or 2+ years of outside sales of capital equipment or business to business value-add sales experience.

• High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn internal business systems.


Experience & Abilities:

• Industry related experience preferred.

• Familiar with Salesforce CRM preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.

• Ability to guide, direct and provide technical expertise on products (or services) to colleagues and customers.

• Previous business to business value-add sales experience

• Proven track record of consistently exceeding and/or achieving goals.

• History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation.

• Prior experience that required excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to use strong judgement with knowledge of company policies and procedures to resolve non-standard problems.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.



Up to 30% travel required to support sales territory
