The Chemical Manager’s primary role is to grow market share by working with and developing Chemical Account Specialist (CAS’s). A Chemical Manager will plan appropriate strategies to help facilitate proper service for Sonny’s Car Wash Services clients. The Chemical Manager will work with their team, mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff to keep DSM abreast of market changes, competitive opportunities, challenges and creative trends.
New Business Development:
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
• Handle objections in a positive manner by clarifying issues, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to net positive conclusions for all.
• Present a positive image that mirrors the core values of Sonny’s Car Wash Services.
Customer Retention:
• Present new products and services to enhance existing relationships.
• Work with technical, marketing, and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
• Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Business Development Planning:
• Chemical Manager will establish yearly development plans for their district.
• Chemical Manager may be asked to attend all industry functions, conferences, tradeshows, etc.
• Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services and products.
• Identify new opportunities for customers that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Management and Research:
• Manage Chemical Account Specialists in the Chemical Manager’s area of responsibility.
• Submit accurate weekly planning and expense reports.
• Control area expenses and stay within the planned yearly budget.
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM protocol. (Salesforce management, protocols, reporting, CPC troubleshooting)
• Forecast sales targets and ensure they are consistently met.
• Works with marketing staff to ensure that customers’ marketing needs are being met.
• Present business development and technical training to their staff.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the companies offering and capabilities.
• Train Districts team members to the highest standard of chemical service (Service One protocol)
• Manage teams workflow by determining optimal workloads and routes to properly service our customer base.
• Ensure our customers are being properly serviced by overseeing inspections of all the sites in the district. (Site Evaluations, CSR Surveys, and Compliance management)
• Act as a service safety net for the district.
