Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to join our corporate team. In this role, you will support multiple shipping locations across the U.S., analyzing logistics data, optimizing transportation processes, and enhancing supply chain efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products while minimizing costs and improving service levels.
· Process & Routing Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to enhance logistics operations, focusing on transportation routing, inventory management, and shipping processes, including advanced techniques like milk runs.
· Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data to identify trends and inefficiencies. Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for management, highlighting metrics and actionable insights.
· Carrier & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with carriers and vendors to ensure service reliability and cost-effectiveness.
· KPI Achievement & Continuous Improvement: Monitor logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain knowledge of LTL freight classes, truckload, and ocean market dynamics to optimize transportation decisions.
· Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with regional operations, procurement, and sales teams to coordinate logistics efforts and resolve issues effectively.
· Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR): Contribute to QBRs showcasing logistics performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
· Invoice Auditing & Cost Management: Conduct audits of shipping invoices to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies. Monitor shipping costs and contribute to process improvements for cost savings.
· System & Project Management: Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) for tendering and tracking shipments while problem-solving. Support special projects aligned with corporate logistics objectives.
· Import/Export Support: With experience in customs processing, assist with import/export transportation logistics, ensuring compliance and efficiency in international shipments. While working with our partners, oversee daily ocean import shipments from pre-alert to invoicing. Arrange cargo pickups and deliveries and expedite urgent shipments as necessary.
· Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with U.S. regulations and company policies. Collaborate with Customs Brokers to prepare necessary documentation for clearing shipments and processing Delivery Orders and Arrival Notices.
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or 3+ experience in the Truckload Market.
· Proficient in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and experienced in routing optimization techniques.
· Strong understanding of carrier management practices, including LTL freight classifications, truckload, and ocean market dynamics.
· Familiarity with conducting QBRs and invoice audits.
· Experience with import transportation and understanding of international logistics processes.
· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or data visualization software).
· Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and creating Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
· Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
· 10-20% Travel required.
