Overview

The Sr. Staff Accountant performs various technical accounting functions and analytical reviews of for a designated accounting area. This position also helps the business unit achieve goals, anticipate needs and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

· Support Month end and year end closing

· Provide financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects

· Take charge and coordinates external audits

· Analyze data for the purpose of supporting business decision-making

· Introduce and develop new procedures to improve the accounting process

· Engage and analyze the company’s working capital and cash flow

· Manage intercompany reconciliations monthly

· Reconcile general ledger accounts and post correcting entries

· Conduct training for new and existing staff in related departments

· Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out procedures

· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications

· Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements

· Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree required, with a concentration in Business, Accounting or Finance; CPA / CMA a plus.

· 5+ yrs. of accounting experience

· Experience with an ERP system required, SAP experience a plus

· Advanced skills in MS Excel Required

· Experience with One Stream a plus

· Experience with Blackline a plus
